College Football

The Cotton Bowl

Tulane 46, USC 45. It was one of the largest turnarounds in College Football Bowl history, and one of the most unlikely comebacks in the history of the Cotton Bowl.  A winning touchdown with seven seconds left was a storybook ending to a storybook season. It was everything we love about sports.

The 2022 season marks Head Coach Willie Fritz’s 30th year as a collegiate head coach. We can’t wait to see what comes next.

And while AAC Offensive Player of the Year and Cotton Bowl Offensive MVP, running back Tyjae Spears, is headed to the NFL, there are great player like Quarterback Michael Pratt, a sophomore, returning, and exciting players in the new recruiting class. Tulane football is doing a great job of setting itself up for the future.

The LSU Tigers demolished the Purdue Boilermakers, 63-7, in the 2022 Citrus Bowl.  QB Bryce Young and LB Willie Anderson lead Alabama in a 45-20 win over Kansas State in the 2022 Sugar Bowl. Even the smaller bowls are always worth a watch. Mississippi State won the ReliaQuest Bowl 19-10 over Illinois. And while they didn’t get a win, the UL’s Ragin’ Cajuns made the Independence Bowl, the South Alabama Jags made the New Orleans Bowl, and Mississippi State made the Texas Bowl.

The bowl games are one reason college football is so much fun.

We can’t wait till next season
