Cynar (pronounced CHEE-nar) is a digestivo, a stomach-soothing Italian after-dinner drink. Its primary ingredient is artichokes.
The Breakfast Issue
½ ounce Cynar
3 ounces pink grapefruit juice
3 ounces chilled sparkling wine
Pour the Cynar into a champagne flute, then add the grapefruit juice. Top with sparkling wine. Serve immediately.
