Eat Right with Rouses

Fruity Halloween Candy Bark

Ingredients

Handful of candy corn

½ Rouses chocolate bar, broken into small pieces

16 ounces of vanilla yogurt or Greek yogurt

½ bag of mixed frozen berries

½ cup of choice of nuts, seeds, granola

Directions

Separate candy and do not use any candy that will be too hard when frozen.  Remove any hard candies from the group.

Solid chocolate works best for the bottom layer.  If the chocolate has mixed ingredients in it, may work better finely chopped on top.

Place (mostly) chocolate candies into a microwave safe bowl with 1 teaspoon of oil per ¼ cup.  Microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between, until melted. Once melted spread the chocolate on a pan lined with parchment paper into a thin layer.  Place into the freezer for 10 minutes.  Remove from the freezer and add vanilla yogurt on a layer on top of the chocolate.  Add toppings, add berries such as blueberries and raspberries along with finely chopped nuts or seeds on top.  Place into the freezer for 2 hours.  Remove from freezer and break into pieces.  Break into pieces and store in a freezer safe bag.  When ready to eat, let sit out at room temperature for 5 minutes, then enjoy.
