Fried Shrimp with Rouses Fry Mix
For extra-crispy shrimp, coat the shrimp in the breading mix, then dip the coated shrimp in the egg mixture. Remove the shrimp from the egg mixture and dredge it again in the breading mix. Place battered shrimp in the hot oil, and fry until golden brown. Drain shrimp on paper towels before serving.
1 pound Rouses Wild Caught Louisiana Shrimp (your choice of size), peeled and cleaned
1 box Rouses Shrimp Fry Breading Mix
2 quarts vegetable oil
3 large eggs
Heat oil to 350 degrees.
Pour shrimp fry breading mix onto a plate. In a bowl, beat three eggs.
Dip shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat shrimp evenly with breading mix, lightly patting off any excess.
Place battered shrimp in the hot oil, and fry until golden brown. Drain cooked shrimp on paper towels before serving.
